Ngaamba West-Uvunye Primary
The community of Ngaamba is struggling to find a sense of life in the middle of desperate situations. Not only do they have little access to the things that meet their daily needs like food and water, but they are faced with larger issues in trying to help their community thrive.
Uvunye is one of seven primary schools in Ngaamba and each of them needs assistance to raise the quality of education for the children. There are not enough desks for each of the children and they share textbooks between several children so they cannot take books home to do homework. There are many supplies needed for the Classrooms such as maps, books, chalk and paper. They cannot afford to give assessment tests on a regular basis, so many children do not do well on their Grade 8 Final National Exam, which determines if they can continue into High School.
And even more important because of the serious drought conditions, there is no money to feed these 350 students lunch (and this may be the only meal some children get because they come from impoverished families).
Please consider helping with a $39/month commitment to help raise the quality of life and education for these children!
