Adullam Orphanage

Adullam Orphanage is a non-profit, non-government organization founded on the Word of God (James 1:27). Their mission is to care for orphans, abandoned, abused, and destitute children in a loving and caring environment. The name Adullam means "A place of refuge".

They are headquartered in Obuasi, Ghana which is on the Gulf of Guinea in West Africa. Adullam was founded in 1996 by Pastor Louise Timothy and her husband, Drew. Under their leadership the orphanage continues to grow taking in more and more needy children.

Adullam houses over 160 children, many of which are orphans and have suffered tremendous hardships their whole lives. It is not uncommon to find victims of child trafficking, abuse, and abandonment at the orphanage.

Adullam also supports widows by training and employing them as caregivers and teachers. The children range in age from birth to eighteen years old and many of them have HIV/AIDS. They offer the children shelter and a permanent home, regardless of their race or creed. A school for the deaf has been constructed onsite to help this particularly needy group. They also operate a chicken farm to help provide food for the orphanage and to generate income where possible.

Sponsorships will provide for basics needs; food, food preparation, clothing, medical care, and Primary School costs.
