Segera Basic Needs
The Segera Mission is located north of Nairobi near Mt. Kenya. It is truly an oasis in the middle of a rocky desert. The people of this area are very poor and struggle to grow any crops. Water is a major problem, and nothing grows. The children must herd any animals many kilometers each day to find grazing and water.
The Mission was formed to help these people, with medical needs and education and food for the poor. A man they all called "Pappy", had a vision to build this center, and he and his family have transformed lives. There is much left to be done, and you can help.
The Leadership of the Mission and the 410 Bridge have asked BrightPoint for Children to help find assistance for 30 children who are the "poorest of the poor" and depend on the Mission to be able to eat each day. To learn how you can help, click "sponsor a child" above!
